Break Thru to help Aussies find jobs

Break Thru Employment Solutions has been announced as a successful tenderer for the new Australian Government “Job Services Australia” which replaces a number of programs including the Job Network, Personal Support Program and Work for the Dole.

Break Thru Employment Solutions will commence this new program on July 1st 2009 working with employers to provide tailored assistance to help job seekers on their pathway to employment, particularly the growing proportion of people who are highly disadvantaged and those who have been recently been made redundant.

Break Thru Employment is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that has been placing jobseekers in employment for over fifteen years, including those who are disadvantaged.

CEO of Break Thru Employment Solutions, Ross Lewis noted “This is a considerable success for us, as it signifies the government’s confidence in our organisation to successfully deliver employment services to all jobseekers, from the recently unemployed to the disadvantaged, including (but not limited to) people with a disability, Indigenous Australians, people from a non-English speaking background and the long term unemployed”.

Mr Lewis added “Being a not for profit organisation means that all of our resources stay in the local community and are fully focused on assisting local job seekers and employers”. Break Thru Employment Solutions will also continue to work with employers, to help them find workers that have the skills that are needed in the local labour market.

Mr Lewis further added “Employing our jobseekers is not an act of charity, but makes good business sense, as there is a mutual benefit to the employee, employer and the community. We are well aware that in these turbulent times, local companies need reliable and motivated employees. This is what we intend to deliver”.

Due to the organisation’s success in meeting the needs of both job seekers and employers for over fifteen years, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations announced that Break Thru Employment Solutions was successful in its bid to expand its service throughout an additional 22 sites, boosting their operations to 47 offices across the Eastern seaboard. And despite many employment providers downsizing, Break Thru will go against this trend and recruit an additional 350 staff for their own operations, particularly those who have recently lost their jobs.
